I was born and brought up on a Dumfriesshire dairy farm so have always loved and appreciated the countryside and mother nature.
As long as I can remember I loved anything artistic and always dreamt of going to art college but ended up with a totally opposite career.
It wasn’t until 2020 when covid hit and we were all working from home that I rekindled my love for art & I now work as a professional artist.
I am so lucky to have on my doorstep such stunning landscapes, beautiful beaches and fabulous coastal walks. This is where my inspiration comes from.
I spend hours walking with my little border terrier taking photos, capturing the ever changing beauty of the countryside, skies and beaches so that I can go back to my studio and recreate these images onto canvas and paper.
I have always adored bright colours, which can be clearly seen in my paintings. My artwork is colourful and easily recognised.
